FOOTBALL: Hat-trick hero Brooks lifts Ardley

Ryan Brooks hit a hat-trick as Ardley United added to bottom club Abingdon United’s woes with a 4-1 away win in the Premier Division.
He opened the scoring after 24 minutes, only for Graham Edney to level just before-half-time.
However, Abingdon’s hopes of recording their first point of the season were shattered after the break as two further strikes by Brooks were sandwiched around a Troy Bryan goal.
Oxford City Nomads let slip a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw at home to Ascot United.
Zac McEachran and Jamie Mundy fired Nomads ahead, but Jermaine Roche bagged a quickfire brace before the break to level things up.
Adam Cornell’s last-minute equaliser denied Wantage Town victory in a 1-1 draw at home to Binfield. Richard Guy had given Wantage a 42nd-minute lead.
AFC Hinksey stay top of Division 1 East following a 3-1 win at Woodley Town.
Anaclet Odhiambo, Ryan Curtin and an own goal made up Hinksey’s tally, with Dan Watkiss replying.
Headington Amateurs stayed in touch in second after coming from behind to a win 2-1 at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Luke Scope’s header gave the visitors a seventh-minute lead, but Tom Payne equalised with a 20-yard drive on the stroke of half-time and Paul Hedger fired home a free-kick for an 80th-minute winner.
Didcot Town Res went down 3-2 at Henley Town. Tom Ingram and Sam Borland scored for Didcot, but Henley took the points through Louis Howell, Brett Rann and Ben Clarke.
Carterton won 5-2 at home win over North Leigh United in Division 1 West.
Adam Bowerman, Sean Collins and Abdel gave Carterton a three-goal lead inside 21 minutes.
Scott Gee and Nathan Blackwell reduced the deficit before half-time.
But Abdel’s second and a Jarrell Gray effort after the break sealed Carterton’s win.
Clanfield won 2-1 at home to Tytherington Rocks.
Adam Pendell and a Steve Olphert penalty put Clanfield in charge, before Stuart Nelson replied with a spot-kick before the break.
Luke Gardner’s 79th-minute strike gave Easington Sports a 1-0 win at basement boys Letcombe, whose captain Luke Stone has quit the club.
Old Woodstock Town crashed to a 4-0 defeat at Tuffley Rovers.
Marcus Foxwell gave Tuffley a first-half lead, and Woodstock caved in during the last 20 minutes with Dan Wallington, Mark Ford and an own goal doing the damage.
