Oxford City's hopes of avoiding relegation in Skrill North have been hit as a result of their being docked three points for fielding a suspended player.

Midfielder Liam Malone played 69 minutes of City’s 2-0 victory at fellow strugglers Worcester City on December 8, while suspended after picking up five bookings.

As a result, City were automatically docked the three points earned in that match, one of just five wins for the Marsh Lane outfit this season.

Already in the drop zone, the deduction sees Mike Ford's side drop to second bottom, seven points from safety.
