OXFORD City boss Mike Ford expects his side to be back to full strength for tomorrow’s Skrill North trip to fellow strugglers Gainsborough Trinity.

Ford named a youthful side for last night’s Oxfordshire Senior Cup clash with Ardley United, which was almost unrecognisable from the team which beat league leaders Telford United 2-0 on Tuesday evening.

But he plans to restore most of those players to the squad as City bid to make it six league games unbeaten and move further away from the drop zone.

“We’ve certainly got confidence now and I’ll be telling my players that what they’ve done over the last five games has given them a better chance to secure their safety,” said Ford.

“We just have to keep that going now, because it’s all in our own hands and if we keep winning, they’re not going to catch us.

“We’ve just got to make sure we go to Gainsborough and keep doing what we’ve been doing.”
