OXFORD City had a man sent off for the second successive game, but maintained their unbeaten Vanarama Conference North start with a battling and deserved 0-0 draw at Marsh Lane.

Darren Mullings saw red in City’s 1-0 win at Hyde on Saturday, and last night Alex Hernandez was dismissed for a professional foul as Justin Merritt’s side made it four points from two games.

Hernandez had gone close with a 40-yard effort in the opening period, while at the other end, City keeper Mark Scott got down well to keep out the visitors.

Adi Yussuf fired wide for City and the same player then crossed into the box, but Felipe Barcelos was unable to control the loose ball.

Daniel Nti volleyed just wide of the far post for the visitors, before last man Hernandez was shown the red card for a professional foul with 20 minutes left.

Although ex-City striker Mike Symons went close for Worcester late on, the hosts were good value for a point.
