Two late goals saw relegation-threatened Abingdon United salvage a 3-3 draw in a remarkable finish to their Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division home game against Kidlington at Northcourt Road.

Trailing 3-1 with just two minutes left, Carl Evans forced the ball into the roof of the net, before Jamie Mundy was fouled in the penalty area by Ben Weedon, and Sam Collier smashed home the spot-kick to earn a point.

Kidlington had opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Marc Begg slid the ball home for his first goal for the club.

Anaclet Odhiambo levelled for Abingdon nine minutes later, but Kristian Thomas then struck twice inside a minute before half-time.

With ten minutes left, Odhiambo was sent off after being shown a second yellow card for a poor challenge, while Kidlington skipper Tom Franklin was booked, before being handed a second yellow card and an early bath as he continued to berate the referee.

Abingdon weren’t finished, though, and their late rally earned a draw, although with Brimscombe & Thrupp winning 3-2 at Reading Town, they are now eight points from safety, having played two games more.

Connor Harris’s 85th-minute strike gave lowly Milton United a 1-0 win at Thame United.

Bottom club Letcombe gifted their opponents three first-half goals before going close to rescuing a point for the second week running in a 3-2 defeat at promotion-chasing Tuffley Rovers in Division 1 West.

Goals from Warren Mann, Brett James and Courtney Hamilton gave Tuffley a 3-0 half-time lead.

Letcombe fought back after the break with a Dan Hoskin strike and a Tom Stone penalty following a foul on Owen Shaw.

Clanfield were sunk by two late goals in a 4-2 defeat at Cirencester Town Development.

Shane Bumphrey and Danny Gudger scored for Cirencester in the first five minutes, before Shannon Pocock pulled one back two minutes later, and then levelled in the 78th minute.

However, Bumphrey’s second and a Robbie James strike sealed Clanfield’s fate.

Joe Eyre’s fourth-minute effort gave Hook Norton a 1-0 win at New College Swindon.

Carterton battled out a 0-0 draw at Tytherington Rocks.

Chinnor had goalkeeper Ben Taunton sent off for handling outside the penalty area as they lost 2-1 at home to Penn & Tylers Green in the only Division 1 East match.

Taunton got his marching orders in the second half for handling outside the penalty area when the game was goalless.

Despite going down to ten men, Marcus Gaston fired Chinnor ahead in the 70th minute, but Hurst equalised five minutes later and Jonathan Feaver grabbed the winner a minute from time.
