JUSTIN Merritt hailed Oxford City after their 4-0 win at Chelmsford City in Vanarama National League South.
Merritt was pleased to see his side at their best away from the training ground.
He added: “Some of our football was excellent in the way we moved the ball.
“The fourth goal was about 15 passes right through the side.
“That’s what we work on week-in week-out on the 3G at City and it’s nice to put it onto the grass.”
All four goals came after the break despite the side dominating throughout.
Although disappointed not to be in the lead at half-time Merritt was delighted with his side’s finishing in the second period.
“We felt we were the better side in the first half without really being clinical,” he said.
“Once the first goal went in it was a pleasure to watch.
“Getting it so early tin the second half was good because the longer it goes on people can get edgy and snatch at things.
“It meant Chelmsford had to try and get back into the game, which allowed some gaps.”
