ROB Sinclair believes his experience can provide the key to a shock victory at Notts County in one of the biggest games in Oxford City’s history, writes RYAN BRATLEY.

The ex-Forest Green Rovers midfielder, who has been turning heads ever since his arrival in August, is no stranger to this stage of the competition, having spent time in the Football League with Stevenage.

And the 28-year-old’s advice for his younger teammates is they should back themselves to pull off another cup upset.

Sinclair said: “As a group of lads, we can just go out there and play with no fear, no pressure.

“If we play as it’s a normal game, we won’t let ourselves down.”

City’s giant-killing exploits in the first round, where they beat Sky Bet League Two side Colchester United, have thrust the club into the spotlight.

They face a far tougher test against a Notts County side whose last home defeat was on Easter Monday.

But Sinclair is not intimidated, given City’s terrific cup run.

“We just need to believe, that’s all you can do,” he said.

“We are playing against a side two levels above us, so of course they will have some qualities and threats.

“But they will also have their weaknesses, and that’s what we can exploit.”
