NORTH Leigh maintained top spot in Division 1 South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League with a 2-0 victory over Wantage Town last night.

Both goals came in the opening period from Morgan Williams corners.

Kieran Sanders was on hand to tap home the first on 14 minutes, with Stuart Hole doubling the lead with his head seven minutes later.

Wantage had opportunities to get back into the game in the second period, but Sam Collier and Ben Whitehead both missed chances as the Millers march on at the top of the table.

Didcot Town recorded a thrilling 5-3 win over Marlow.

Josh Dutton-Black scored twice in quick succession to put the Railwaymen 2-0 ahead early on.

Marlow reduced the deficit, but Jack Longford restored the hosts’ two-goal cushion.

The visitors made it 3-2, only for Mark Janes to find the net and put Didcot 4-2 ahead at the break.

Adam Learoyd made it 5-2, and although Marlow pulled another back, Didcot held on.
