MARLON Jackson will not be back at Oxford City this season after signing a one-year contract with Newport County.
The 25-year-old striker, (pictured left), who enjoyed two spells at Marsh Lane, penned a deal with the Sky Bet League Two club after a successful trial period.
Jackson said: āIām delighted to get everything signed and I am happy to be a Newport County player for the season ahead.ā
Meanwhile, City make the trip to Brackley Town today for their penultimate pre-season friendly ahead of the start of their Vanarama National League South campaign against Welling United next weekend.
The beginning of the Evo-Stik Southern League season is also six days away.
Wantage Town have looked to strengthen in Division 1 South & West, with the acquisitions of goalkeeper Connor Johns and midfielder Sam Brown.
The Alfredians host Blackfield & Langley today.
Didcot Town travel to Rushden, Kidlington face Lydney Town and Premier Division outfit Banbury United make the trip to Wellingborough Town.
