BANBURY battled back from a goal down, only to lose 3-2 in Tuesday's Premier Division thriller in the Black Country.

After going behind early on to Deeney's strike, Jon Gardner's spectacular effort from the edge of the box brought Banbury level.

And when defender Ady Fuller slotted home a penalty 16 minutes into the second half, it looked as if it might be enough for Banbury to get their first win at the Grove Recreation Ground since 1960.

However, Halesowen had other ideas and hit back in devastating style through a Lewis double to take victory.

Having been undefeated away from home all season, Kevin Brock's side have now lost their last two away trips.

Banbury Utd: Thornton, Bridges, Kinch (Fuller 45), Sullivan, Blossom, Pond (Redknap 33), Stanbridge (Lazarus 80), Lamb, Forinton, Baird, Gardner.
