Hook Norton eased to a 3-0 victory against Banbury United Res in Division 1 West yesterday.

On a wet and heavy surface, Hooky started the stronger, taking the lead after 25 minutes through skipper Robbie Canaway.

In the second half, Hooky kept up the pressure and doubled their lead when Ben Elkington put away substitute Joe Davies's corner.

Nat Greywoode completed their tally after the keeper could only parry Davies's shot.

Lee Harris scored twice as Hook Norton edged to a 3-2 win at Ross Town on Saturday.

Harris netted after five minutes, only for Dewi Stuart to level in the 18th.

Richard Northover restored the lead (24), and after Paul Burnham again levelled (40), it was left to Harris to net the winner with five minutes remaining.

Letcombe scored a goal in each half to beat Pewsey Vale 2-0.

Paul Roberts headed the hosts in front just before the break.

But it was not until three minutes from time that they made the game safe when Dave Richardson's free-kick eluded everyone and found its way into the net.

A two-minute period before half-time was the key to the outcome of this Division 1 East encounter as Headington Amateurs lost 1-0 at Englefield Green Rovers.

Carl Tancock put the hosts in front in the 43rd-minute, and less than a minute later Headington were reduced to ten men when Ben Baldwin received a straight red card after elbowing an opponent when challenging for a high ball.
