APRIL England held her nerve from the penalty spot to hand Oxford City Ladies the Southern Region Women’s League Cup title with a 1-0 win over Southampton.
The Premier Division runners-up added to their County Cup triumph, with a hard-fought victory over the Division 1 champions at Reading Town.
They had to wait until five minutes from time to find the net, England slotting home a penalty following a foul on Lindsay Pinker.
General manager Jack Wells said: “I am really proud of the ladies’ achievements this season and considering that most of the players are teenagers, the future looks very bright.”
