MARCELO Guilherme hit a hat-trick as Lusitanos lifted the Oxford City FA Couling Cup with a 4-2 victory over Chequers in the final.

He opened the scoring on 18 minutes, producing a clinical finish to give his side the lead.

Less than a minute later the same player was in the right place to make it 2-0.

Chequers battled back and took the initiative, reducing the deficit when Aaron Williams was brought down by keeper Toni Dias.

Williams picked himself up to blast home from the spot.

Lusitanos regained their two-goal advantage after the break when Hungarian winger Pal Kovacs fired in a powerful shot which took a slight deflection on its way into the net.

Craig Dean’s volley on 60 minutes made it 3-2 and he nearly equalised moments later.

Lusitanos were handed a golden opportunity to extend their lead when they were awarded a penalty.

But Francais Maplethorpe saved captain Tiago Pita’s spot-kick.

However, Guilherme sealed victory, completing his hat-trick and his team’s first trophy in their first season.

Meanwhile in the league, Summertown AFC went top, winning 2-1 at home to East Oxford.

Cero Holmes beat the offside trap to open the scoring and Jake Cooper volleyed in for No 2.

East Oxford pulled one back, but Summertown held firm.

Masons Arms drew 2-2 at home to St Ebbes Headington.

Josh Horn opened the scoring for the visitors, before Mason Horwood levelled.

Masons had chances to go further ahead, but only Tim Small could find the net.

And they paid the price for failing to take their chances when Horn levelled.
