A PAIR of Bicester golfers will take part in the HowDidiDo National Matchplay Championship in Portugal after winning their regional final.

Carly Bosher, who plays off 13, and one-handicapper Laura Watkins will be the first ladies team to compete in the grand final, which will be held in the Algarve in February.

They won the qualifier on countback after carding 43 points at the Macdonald Botley Park Hotel Golf & Spa in Southampton.

Bosher, who also had a hole-in-one recently at the Bicester ladies captains away day, said: “We are both thrilled to bits and cannot wait to go to Portugal for the grand final.”

  • THERE have also been two aces in quick succession at Kirtlington.

David Baskerville holed his tee shot at the ninth during a stableford competition, while Chris McNulty found the cup at the 16th during a seniors’ roll-up.
