Ill Heath forced Frilford Heath’s Eddie Pepperell to withdraw before the second round of yesterday’s second round of Maybank Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur.
The Abingdon golfer had shot a seven-over par 79 in the first round and was 7unlikely to make the halfway cut.
Spaniard Alejandro Canizares fired a second-round 65 to share the lead with Lee Westwood on 11-under-par 133.
