JAKE Dines returned from university in Tennessee to retain his status as Frilford Heath’s club champion.
The 20-year-old needed a play-off to win last year, just before heading out to the United States.
But this time Dines’s path to success was more straightforward, winning by four shots after carding a final-round 73 on the Red Course to finish on 215.
The field battled strong winds on Saturday, where the in-form Jon Rusk won the John Fisher Cup, the handicap championship awarded after 36 holes, with nett rounds of 70 and 68.
