OXFORD Ladies are celebrating winning the Oxfordshire Ladies County Golf Association President’s Trophy for the second time in four years.
The pairings of Maggie Findlay and Dee Chappelle, Judy McCairns and Jane Tavinor, plus Maggie Edwards and Tracy Roberts, came past Huntercombe in the semi-final.
They followed it up with a 2 & 1 success over Henley.
Jan Glover, Oxford Ladies’ captain, said: “I am enormously proud of our team, who were playing off scratch against a team with lower handicaps.
“It is a wonderful win.”
The team are still in the running for more silverware, after getting through to the eighth round of the Mail on Sunday National Classic.
They host Pyle & Kenfig in the last 16.
