EDDIE Pepperell failed to build on a positive third round as he finished tied 33rd in the British Masters at Woburn.

The Abingdon golfer carded a two-under-par 69 on Saturday to head into the last day on four under.

But he was unable to make any headway in the final round, carding a level par 71.

The Frilford Heath member was one-over after the front nine.

He birdied the par four 12th, but was unable to pick up any further shots.

Matthew Fitzpatrick won the tournament by two shots on 15-under-par.
