A NIGHTMARE run of dropped shots saw Eddie Pepperell fail to make the final round of the Maybank Championship in Malaysia.
The Abingdon golfer was in the chasing pack at seven under par after eight holes of the third round.
However, the Frilford Heath member then hit four bogeys, a double bogey and a triple bogey in his next eight holes to drop to two over par at the end of the third round.
The disastrous run saw him become one of eight players to fail to make the final round in a rare ‘extended’ cut.
The event was won by India’s Shubhankar Sharma, on 21-under, two shots clear of Jorge Campillo.
