GOLF: Tadmarton edge home in final

Despite the 3-0 scoreline, Tadmarton Heath had a few anxious moments before beating Feldon Valley in the final of the Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes League’s Knock-Out Cup played at Burford.

In the top match, Tadmarton’s Spencer Hallam and James Burton edged out Will McCoombs and Rory Brown.

But the other two matches both went to the last hole.

Guy Sambrook and Owen King beat Nik Suckling and George Pash by one hole, to clinch the title for Tadmarton.

In the last match, Tadmarton’s Ian Manning and Jon Burman defeated Alex Bailey and Mike Abbots by the same margin.
