BTCC releases provisional 2012 calendar

The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship today issued its provisional race dates for 2012.

Next season’s calendar will again include ten ‘rounds’, each featuring three races.

The provisional dates are:

March 31-April 1 Brands Hatch (Indy), nr Dartford, Kent

April 28-29 Thruxton, nr Andover, Hampshire

June 9-10 Oulton Park (Island), nr Tarporley, Cheshire

June 23-24 Croft, nr Darlington, North Yorkshire

August 11-12 Snetterton (300), nr Attleborough, Norfolk

August 25-26 Knockhill, nr Dunfermline, Fife

September 22-23 Rockingham, nr Corby, Northamptonshire

October 6-7 Silverstone, nr Towcester, Northamptonshire

October 20-21 Brands Hatch (Grand Prix), nr Dartford, Kent.

The BTCC organiser TOCA said the date of the Donington Park event had yet to be announced, but would not impact the start or finish dates of the 2012 season. It expects to announce that calendar date within the next three weeks.
