Double Winter Olympic champion Lizzy Yarnold brought gold to the streets of Kent when she embarked upon an open-top bus tour to celebrate her success.
The 29-year-old became the first Briton to retain a Winter Olympic title when she claimed skeleton glory for the second successive games in PyeongChang in February.
On Wednesday, the Sevenoaks athlete took to the streets to meet fans who had cheered her on from afar as she toured the borough.
The parade began at the Sevenoaks District Council offices and visited local schools on its way through Otford, Eynsford and Horton Kirby before finishing in West Kingsdown, where she grew up.
She was saluted by delighted passers-by and schoolchildren on her way under bright sunshine and blue skies.
Yarnold claimed her first Olympic title in Sochi in 2014 and followed it up four years later by snatching gold in dramatic fashion.
Trailing going into the fourth and final heat, she produced a track record run to claim victory over Germany’s Jacqueline Loelling by almost half a second with team-mate Laura Deas joining her on the podium in third place.
