3rd XI: Burford School, left off the A40 on the Cheltenham side of the Burford roundabout. Entrance by
footbridge over A40.
Another successful year for the 1st XI runners-up. With an established core of younger players we have hopes of going one better this season.
Captain Shaun Miller excelled with 49 wkts @ 17. Five batsmen made it into league averages headed by Simon Hole with 528 runs @ 40.
The 2nd XI had a good season under Jerry Senior with a mixture of experienced players and youngsters who have now established themselves. Several were bloodied in the 1st XI so the future looks rosy.
The 3rd XI also had a good campaign in its second year. Anthony Hemming managed to encourage some excellent performances from young players including Danny Bishop, Steve Carvey, Mark Williamson
and Ollie Dunk. 18 year old Greg Barrett produced some good performances and we mourn his tragic death in a car crash at the end of the season.
