CRICKET: Didcot ease to victory

Didcot maintained their lead at the top of the table thanks to useful knocks by Tom Kennedy (74) and Matt Jones (41) in their seven-wicket win at Long Marston 2nd in Division 6.

Earlier, Mike Lyons had scored 88 in the home side's 159 all out, while Jones had taken 3-36 and Simon Pritchard 3-5.

Horspath 2nd stay second after making hard work of chasing the 121 all out set by Wolverton Town 2nd.

Tom Smith had taken 5-54 for Horspath to set up an apparently straightforward run chase, which was achieved for the loss of six wickets thanks to Stuart Berry's unbeaten 57.

Lee Haughton hit an unbeaten 57 to steer Brackley to a seven-wicket win at Sandford St Martin 2nd.

The home side made 168-8, in which Jim Howe top-scored with 39 and Keith Cartwright took 4-40 from 20 overs.

Bourton Vale 2nd's final pair clung on with the score on 133-9 to force a draw at home to Thame Town 2nd.

Alan Maule's 46 was the highest score of the match as Tiddington 2nd saw off Oxford 4th by 64 runs.

Musaleen Sadiqi took 3-37 and Kasim Nawaz 3-47 in Tiddington’s 177-9, which proved more than enough as Oxford were rumbled for 113.
