Oxford's double Olympic gold medallist Andy Triggs Hodge heads a strong British contingent in Australia this week to take part in the first World Cup event of 2013.
The three-day competition in Sydney is the first World Cup meeting in the Southern hemisphere and starts the build-up towards the Rio Olympics in 2016.
Established ‘big guns’ from Oxfordshire, including Triggs Hodge and Peter Reed, are in a new-look British eight.
Perennial performers Frances Houghton and Katie Greves are doubling up.
Both are in the eight while Greves is also in a pair and Houghton in a double scull.
The Chambers brothers, Richard and Peter – both from the Oxford Brookes stable – have been separated. Richard is in a lightweight double, while Peter stays in the lightweight four. Kathryn Twyman, from Wallingford, is in a lightweight single.
Another four from Brookes are selected – Lance Tredell in the men’s eight, Mat Tarrant and Scott Durant in the men’s four and Olivia Carnegie-Brown in the women’s quad.
