Falcon Kayak Club, Oxford, are celebrating after winning through to the national championship by taking the regional crown at the weekend.
Their strong team of 50 paddlers, skippered by Nick Barnett, won the Southern Region Championship series following the final race in Southampton.
Falcon will now compete in the Hasler Cup finals in Reading on October 6, where they will compete against the top clubs in the country. Head coach Jo Bates said “It’s a fantastic result and a great effort by the whole club.”
