Charlie Longsdon’s best season of his burgeoning training career has been capped with a new sponsorship deal for his Chipping Norton stables.
With three days of the 2010-11 campaign left, Longsdon has racked up an impressive 44 winners and prize money of £257,499 with Tatispout providing his latest success at Stratford on Sunday.
It is set to make him Oxon’s leading trainer this season.
And now he has been boosted by a new three-year stable sponsorship with Cotswold estate agents Hayman-Joyce.
Longsdon said: “James Hayman-Joyce has been a strong supporter of National Hunt racing for a long time, but this is the first time he has sponsored a stable.
“I am delighted that he has chosen to support the yard and my owners and I look forward to working with him and his team."
As Hayman-Joyce’s six-year-old gelding, Hayjack, paraded in the new maroon and cream stable livery at the sponsorship launch at Hull Farm, Longsdon told a gathering of owners: “It has been an unbelievable year. Everything has gone to plan including a Cheltenham winner (Paintball) last week, which was the icing on the cake.
“Hopefully it is the beginning of some very exciting times. We have managed to attract a lot of attention, but the pressure will be on for next year.”
Hayman-Joyce said: “I have followed Charlie’s career since he started training in 2006 and have been impressed with the progress he has made.”
Hayman-Joyce are also sponsoring Longsdon’s promising conditional jockey, Kielan Woods.
