OXFORD United are celebrating after their matchday programme won a trio of prizes from the highly-regarded Northern Programme Club.

Extensively revamped for this season, the U’s magazine came out on top in three League Two categories.

In addtion to being named programme of the year, it also scooped the award for most improved programme and was judged to be the best value for money.

A thrilled Martin Brodetsky, United’s programme editor, said: “We are obviously immensely proud to sweep the boards with these awards.

“It’s an accolade that belongs to everyone involved in producing the magazine, especially our dedicated team of voluntary writers who provide such excellent content.”

  •  THE club’s community trust is taking over Oxford Ice Rink for an afternoon next month to stage Oxford United on Ice.

Mascots Olly and Olivia the Ox will be among those getting their skates on for the fundraising event on Wednesday, February 13.

The three-hour session starts at 4.30pm and costs £10.

Admission can be bought in advance from the club’s ticket office.

Gemma Drewett, from United’s community trust, said: “With Dancing on Ice back on our screens it’s the ideal time to let people try ice-skating for themselves, and it should be a fantastic afternoon.

“It raises funds for the Trust, so we hope as many fans as possible get their skates on and come along.”
