OXFORD United’s under 17s girls have a potential date with Arsenal, Everton or Aston Villa after booking a place in the Girls Centre of Excellence FA Cup quarter-finals.
Megan Herbert scored the only goal of the game as they won 1-0 against Sheffield United in the second round.
The squad are due to find out their opponents shortly, but could be handed a big name in the last eight.
It follows on from the success of the ladies’ side, who have set up a meeting with Charlton Athletic in the FA Women’s Cup third round next month.
