OXFORD United youth team players Lewis Hayden and AJ George have joined Banbury United on work experience.

It will be the first taste of senior football for the pair, who were involved in the 3-2 Youth Cup win against Swindon Town last month.

The terms of the move to the Spencer Stadium means they are eligible to play in the following round away to Manchester City later this month.

They could make their Banbury debut this evening, against Wolverton Town in the Buckingham Charity Cup quarter-final.

It comes as Aidan Hawtin and Josh Shama's loan spells at the Puritans ended on Saturday, seeing the pair return to the U's.
