OXFORD United supporters raised more than £3,000 for a local charity from a footgolf competition.
The event at Hinksey Heights was organised by the club’s away photographer, Darrell Fisher, and attracted ten teams of four players.
It was in aid of SSNAP, which supports sick and premature babies in the Newborn Intensive Care United at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Fisher has first-hand experience of their work after the premature birth of his son Bradley 20 years ago.
The unit also cared for U’s midfielder Michael Collins’ daughter Nyla in September.
Fisher, who plans to stage another fundraising competition later this year, was thrilled to generate such a large amount.
He said: “It was an exceptional day and it couldn’t have gone any better for the charity.”
Fisher and U’s players Aidan Hawtin, Sam Humphreys and Matt Bevans finished third, behind runners-up from the club’s media team and winners Clive United.
