KANE Hemmings has left Oxford United to join Mansfield Town on a season-long loan deal.
The 25-year-old striker has not featured this season due to a thigh problem, but was on the bench for the first time for Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe United.
Hemmings joined the U's 12 months ago from Dundee in a move believed to be in the region of £250,000.
He signed a three-year deal, scoring 15 goals in 31 starts, but the loan move to Field Mill includes an option to make the switch permanent.
Stags boss Steve Evans said: "I’m delighted, after three months of hard work, that we’ve been able to land the young man from Oxford United, which was concluded this morning."
