OXFORD United increased their spending on agents for the second successive year according to the Football Association's latest figures.
The U’s paid £142,551 between February 1, 2017 and the end of the January transfer window this year.
It is the seventh highest figure among clubs in Sky Bet League One this season, although the top-two on the list, Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic, began the period in the Championship.
United’s total covers 20 transactions, including the cancellation of Xemi’s contract in January, plus the renewed deals for the likes of Simon Eastwood and Josh Ruffels.
It represents just over a 50 per cent increase from the previous year’s figure, which was £93,811.
That in turn was a big jump from the £32,703 figure covering October 2015-February 2016.
