Sorry, but this trip should not be happening. The club should be investing the money on players, not on a jolly to the States.
There are a minority of fans on this website who demolish morale of players of oufc. How would we get good players in if we stayed at home? We are not in debt as told by a worthy partner of the club. I am glad that we are going to the States. What is wrong with going abroad for pre season, look at the teams around us? Arsenal going to Indonesia or something do you think that is wrong. Some fans are pathetic and want to bring the club down.
    Right, a few things here.
Firstly it's the majority of fans who think this trip is a waste of time and money.
Secondly we need to play against competitive teams of a similar standard to OUFC. Not some American part-time college outfit. For a cheaper alternative we may as well be playing Oxford Brookes Uni team.
The point about Arsenal is simply not worth arguing. If you can't see the difference between OUFC and Arsenal then perhaps take an interest in a different team.

I want the very absolute best for Oxford United, they are my team and always will be but sometimes they need to get the priorities right -
    a. Fans
    b. Stadium
    c. Training/Coaching
    d. Youth and development
    e. New signings
    ...
    z. Jolly to America
By what right do you speak for the majority of fans ?

You may be speaking for the majority of fans that you know but do you do not for all of us. You certainly don't speak for me.
Such arrogance to think your opinion is the only one which matters or is right."

United to play three games on US tour

Oxford United have announced the itinerary for their second pre-season tour to the United States.

Chris Wilder’s side will play three games during the ten-day trip, which begins on July 23.

They will take on Seacoast United Mariners in Saco, Maine, a day later.

Games in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, follow against Seacoast United Phantoms, on July 27, and a Jim Dedeus XI on July 30.

U’s chairman Kelvin Thomas said: “Going for another year has enabled both coaching staffs to make a few adjustments to improve the trip even further, but the lads will be working hard over there and it is a great chance to let them bond as a team.”

The U’s will return on Wednesday, August 1.
