FA Premiership sponsor Carling has carried out a piece of football fan research on the Internet with some fascinating results for Crystal Palace supporters.
A total of 58 Palace fans completed the survey and every one of them believed referees should be made professional - a trend which was reflected in the rest of the UK and from overseas "surfers". Of the 8,777 fans who took part in the research more than 90 per cent agreed with the Eagles supporters on the issue.
In addition 64.4 per cent of Palace fans taking part would like to see the introduction of action replays to decide the outcome of controversial incidents and more than one fifth would like to be married at Selhurst Park!
In the overall survey, fans voted Eric Cantona as the best foreign star to have played in the Carling Premiership and 40 per cent said football was the most important thing in their life.
