Star striker John Mills could be out of Didcot Town’s Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West clash at home to Stratford Town with a hamstring injury.

Joint manager Ian Concannon rated 37-goal Mills’ chances at 50 per cent, but praised forwards Ryan Brooks and Jimmy Deabill following impressive displays in last week’s 2-2 draw with Cinderford.

Concannon said: “They both made a significant impact and have certainly not done their chances any harm.”

Captain Luke Carnell serves the second match of a threegame suspension, while defender Jack Longford is also doubtful with shin splints.

North Leigh, who leapfrogged Didcot into the playoff positions with Tuesday’s 4-1 win at Wimborne Town, bid to extend their unbeaten run to ten games at home to Swindon Supermarine.

The Millers have scored 14 goals in their last three matches and assistant manager Terry Merriman warned there is more to come.

“We’re making some real statements of intent and it’s been a joy to watch,” he said.

Wantage Town have signed midfielder Matt Clark from Didcot, though he is unavailable for tomorrow’s match at home to Tiverton Town.

Midfielders Adam Doyle (knee) and George Reid (hamstring) and striker Karl Roberts (work) all miss out.
