BANBURY United booked their place in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final with a thrilling 4-3 victory after extra time against Ardley United.

The Puritans led through a first-half Leam Howards strike at Thame United last night, but holders Ardley equalised through Ricky Johnson’s penalty ten minutes from time.

Banbury soon restored their lead with a Tom Ryan header, but Andrew Prescott’s last-minute goal sent the match into extra time.

Conor Ingram fired Ardley ahead, only for Jacob Walcott to level from the penalty spot for Banbury, before Nathaniel Lewars won it.
