WINGER Shane Ferguson is calling on his Millwall teammates to do everything they can to overturn a two-goal deficit against Oxford United tonight.

The 24-year-old, who signed a permanent deal with the Lions last week, played in the 2-0 defeat to United in the first leg of their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area final tie a fortnight ago.

But he is confident Neil Harris’ side can fight back at the Kassam Stadium.

He told The Football League Paper: “We’ll be doing everything we can to get through.

“The last game didn’t quite go to plan for us, but we just need to give it our all and see what happens.

“The manager has always instilled into us that each game is as important as the last, so we’ll make sure we are at our best to get us to that final.”

Millwall will be without captain Tony Craig who is out until April (knee and hamstring), but Jed Wallace is available after extending his loan spell by two months.

Carlos Edwards is still a few weeks away after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Striker Ryan Taylor remains United’s only absentee with a groin problem, while teenager Jonjoe Kenny is set to make his debut at right-back.

Winger Zeli Ismail is eligible after signing on a month’s loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday.
