TYLER Roberts is expected to miss out on a reunion with Oxford United on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.
The West Brom forward spent the first half of the season on loan with the U’s, before joining Shrewsbury Town in another short-term deal in January.
Roberts, 18, played in 22 games for Michael Appleton’s side, but started only six times, none of which were in Sky Bet League One.
He has made the most of more game time with the Shrews, scoring four times in 11 starts.
It has helped Paul Hurst’s side move out of the bottom four and, barring a catastrophe in the final game, they will stay up.
While Roberts will miss out, their XI is likely to include another former United player, Junior Brown.
He told the Shropshire Star: “We’ve sort of stumbled at times but realistically we’ve got ourselves there.
“It’s a massive achievement to keep us in the league and maybe you look at it and say ‘yes we’ve done well to stay up’, but it’s not where we want to be.
“There’s work to be done. We go to Oxford and get a result, rest up, get a good pre-season under our belts and look to kick on.”
