OXFORD Harlequins were no match for London Irish Wild Geese, who went top of the table with a 52-20 home victory.
Defeat sees Quins remain 15 points adrift of safety with only another 30 up for grabs as they have six games left.
The visitors ended up making ten changes and were caught cold after two minutes on a freezing afternoon.
Lock Cathal Murphy drove over for Irish, with fly half Ed Keohane converting.
Keohane did the same to a try from fellow centre Frazer Carlisle to leave Quins trailing 14-0 after four minutes.
Fly half Will Hilton missed two simple penalty attempts for the visitors, who soon fell 21-0.
Replacement Tom Eastman scored the try, with centre Liam Prescott converting.
Quins had flanker Toby Baker yellow-carded before Murphy’s second try, converted by Prescott, made it 28-0.
Hilton got Quins on the board with a penalty, then added the conversion after an acrobatic finish from No 8 Seisoni Tupou.
Irish led 35-10 at the break thanks to Prescott’s try and conversion.
Scores from flanker Chris Browne and lock Charlie Davey increased Irish’s superiority before Quins managed a breakaway try.
Centre JJ Baird started the move, with scrum half Jack Cosins finishing it.
Quins replacement flanker Charlie Ward was sin-binned before Keohane, now back on the field, scored and converted his own try.
Irish had Davey and scrum half James Wilson yellow-carded in the closing stages.
Debutant wing Wilhelm Straengh was denied a try for a foot on the touchline, but Quins still had the final say.
Centre Pita Halatokoua scored from the final play before heading off to nearby Heathrow Airport to catch a flight home to Tonga.
