London Welsh head coach Lyn Jones says new signing Seb Stegmann will add a lot of strength to the Exiles squad.
The 23-year-old wing has joined Welsh from Harlequins, signing a deal that will keep him at the club until 2015.
Stegmann is a former England Under 20 international, who Jones hopes can give the Exiles a spark as they battle to avoid relegation from the Aviva Premiership.
“Seb is a good recruit for us; he’ll add a lot of strength to our squad,” said Jones.
“I’m really looking forward to working with him.
“He is another successful product of the Harlequins Academy.
“He’s had a very promising career up till now and will benefit from playing more games.”
Stegmann made his first-team debut for Harlequins in 2007 and went on to make 35 appearances, scoring 11 tries.
He touched down three times in eight matches last season as Quins won the Premiership.
Stegmann could make his debut in Sunday’s clash at second-placed Saracens.
