MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Dave Taylor led the way with a hat-trick of tries as Banbury Bulls demolished struggling Droit-wich 48-7 at Bodicote Park.

The eight-try victory took Banbury up to fifth in the table and just three points off third.

Bulls took the lead when lock Matt Brock fed No 8 Chris Phillips for a try.

Prop Mickey Fox burrowed over for tRy No 2, converted by fly half Alex Fogavini.

Flanker Seamus O’Dwyer’s break led to centre Taylor’s first try before O’Dwyer’s industry was rewarded with a score of his own.

Droitwich then had a flanker red-carded for abusing the referee.

The half ended with a try from Banbury wing Josh Deegan following an incisive break from full back Joe Mills.

Fogavini converted the latter two for a 31-0 lead and a rampant Banbury already had their bonus point.

Droitwich centre Tom Wormington crossed for Sean Walker to convert early in the second half.

Bulls reasserted their authority, with Taylor crossing for his second after Jed Boyle’s break.

Boyle was again the provider when gathering a clever kick from Fogavini to put Taylor in for his hat-trick.

The influential Fogavini rounded off a throughly satisfactory afternoon for the Bulls.

He gathered a loose ball on halfway to run in unopposed and convert.
