Oxford Harlequins will be without skipper Luke Brown as they continue their march towards the South West I East title, with a short trip to Swindon tomorrow.

Brown, a schoolmaster, is on a skiing trip, so Allan Purchase will lead the side, who are 13 points clear at the top.

With Ralph Jones away, Spencer Goggin comes in at scrum half, while Alan Johnstone returns on the wing.

Also out is hooker Ben Selby who injured an elbow in the 52-13 thrashing of Buckingham last Saturday.

Grove welcome scrum half Owen Gustafson back to league action for their match at home to bogey side Buckingham.

Gustafson, who has been out for three months with a shoulder injury, impressed when coming on a replacement during their 27-11 Oxfordshire Cup defeat by Banbury in midweek and replaces Joe Chivers at the base of the scrum.

“We’ve lost the last three games to Buckingham,” said Grove coach Craig Burrows.

“But there should be no excuses, as for the first time this season we are able to choose from a full-strength squad.”
