DANIEL Browne makes his first start of the season as part of a much-changed London Welsh side for tomorrow’s LV= Cup opener at Bath (3).

Browne, who is returning from injury, comes in at blindside flanker against one of his former clubs, with Ben West moving into the second row alongside James Down.

Nathan Vella, who is usually a hooker, starts at openside, with Ben Pienaar slotting in at No 8.

Pablo Henn, Nathan Morris and Eddie Aholelei form a new-look front row.

Chris Elder comes in at full back, with captain Tom May returning at inside centre.

Tristan Roberts and Rob Lewis start at half back.

Fly half Will Robinson, who has starred in a spell at Henley Hawks, would make his first appearance of the campaign if he appears as a replacement.

Adam Field, who has been signed on loan from Rosslyn Park, will cover the back three positions on the bench.

Chris Cook, who was on loan at Welsh last season, and former Exile Gavin Henson start at half back for Bath.

The hosts are captained by 19-year-old lock Charlie Ewels.

The Anglo-Welsh competition sees teams in the Exiles’ group, Pool 4, take on those in Pool 1.

Pool winners progress to the semi-finals, with the top-ranked side hosting the fourth-ranked and second playing third.
