CHINNOR hooker Jamie Townsend has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a nasty leg injury.

Townsend dislocated his right ankle, which resulted in a double leg break during last week’s 23-22 defeat at Canterbury in National 2 South.

Joe Pickett moves across from loosehead prop to replace him for tomorrow’s home clash with Taunton.

Chinnor director of rugby Matt Williams said: “Only five minutes into the match, Jamie Townsend, arguably my best player thus far, was ambulanced off with a serious injury.
