WITNEY ran in ten tries as they hammered Trowbridge 65-0 in South West 1 East, extending their winning run to nine matches.

Scott Mortimer, James Monks, Gareth Campbell and Carl Strutt all crossed the whitewash twice.

Phil Thomas kicked Witney into a 3-0 lead, before Mortimer, Monks (2) and Campbell crossed to secure the bonus point by half-time.

The hosts continued their dominance with Strutt and Joe Rowles touching down.

A driving maul led to Mortimer going over and on 51 minutes Thomas ran through to score for 53-0.

Strutt and Campbell grabbed their second tries to rack up 65 points. Thomas kicking six conversions.

A hat-trick of tries from Brendan White helped Grove fight back from an 11-point deficit to beat Leighton Buzzard 47-23.

Guy Nicholl kicked six conversions for Grove, who are now safe from relegation.

Nicholl’s converted try gave Grove a 7-6 lead, but the visitors went over twice to lead 18-7.

However, Grove responded with White, Dave Johnson and Nicholl all crossing as Buzzard had two players sent to the sin bin.

Grove’s Dave Wells was also yellow-carded, but the home side extended their lead through Danny Ferguson.

White hacked on to score under the posts, before the visitors crossed in the corner.

However, Grove had the last say with White crossing.
