OXFORD RL head to South Wales Scorpions tomorrow (3) looking to make it six straight victories over Kingstone Press League 1’s basement club.

The Blues beat Scorpions 38-30 in the reverse fixture earlier this year, but have not tasted a league victory since the end of June when they beat Coventry Bears.

After losing 54-16 to Rochdale Hornets last time out, Oxford head coach Tim Rumford wants improvement.

He said: “There were some positives to come out of the (Rochdale) game.

“It’s down to the little one per cent of things you do at the end of a set to finish it off – we’re just gifting teams like Rochdale field position.

“Unless we show a more disciplined approach, finish our sets well and make the other team really fight to get into our half, then we’re going to come up with problems no matter who we play.”

Centre Josh Nathaniel is a doubt with a bruised shin.
