CHINNOR ran in eleven tries as they comfortably beat relegated Launceston 75-3.

The floodgates opened after 20 minutes of the National League 2 South clash.

Greg Goodfellow, Kieran Goss and Henry Lamont crossed. Angell converted all three tries to make it 21-0.

Alex Edwards kicked a penalty for Launceston, but Chinnor led 35-3 at half-time, thanks to converted tries from Goss and Oscar Heath.

Wingers Heath and Lamont crossed again. Goodfellow added the extras.

Nathan Hannay, Goodfellow, Ben Manning and James Tyas then dotted down. Heath added three conversions, as Chinnor moved up to sixth.

Henley ended an eight-match losing run with a 31-20 win at home to Blaydon.

Jason Smithson scored an unconverted try, but Hawks replied through Liam O’Neill.

After the break, Henley’s Dave Clements drove over, with O’Neill adding the extras.

But Blaydon levelled at 12-12 when Ben Stevenson crossed and Brett Connon converted.

Alan Awcock’s converted try put Henley back in front, only for the visitors to sneak ahead 20-19 thanks to Gavin Jones’s try and a Connon penalty.

However, Hawks controlled the last quarter as Jake Randall and Curtis Langdon crossed. O’Neill converted the latter’s try.
