OXFORD Harlequins ended the season with their unbeaten home record intact after seeing off rivals Grove 27-7.

Jack Crowe crossed twice, with Ollie Jenner and Pete Boulton also going over as Quins made it 12 wins from 13 games at Marston Ferry Road in South West 1 East.

Their only blemish came in a draw with champions Towcestrians back in November.

It took Quins 13 minutes to get off the mark, with fly half Jenner kicking a penalty.

The visitors were second best and on 26 minutes Jenner darted over for an unconverted try.

Quins built on their 8-0 lead immediately after the break as centre Crowe dotted down.

Jenner added the extras.

Grove went on to have their best spell, but mistakes cost them at vital moments.

They were punished on 64 minutes as Crowe profited from a swift move to cross.

Jenner’s conversion made it 22-0.

Grove’s Danny Crook took advantage of a Jack Robinson error to cross on 77 minutes. Joe Chilvers converted.

Quins still had time to secure the four-try bonus point as Boulton crashed over.

Jenner’s conversion attempt hit a post, but it did not matter.

As a result, Quins finished sixth in the table and Grove tenth.

Fourth-placed Witney signed off with a 25-21 win at home to Leighton Buzzard.

A George Lewis penalty gave them a 3-0 lead, but the visitors responded through Ben Beaumont’s try. Geoff Branwhite added the extras.

Witney’s Charlie Ward touched down, but Buzzard led 15-8 at half-time, thanks to Euan Irwin’s try and a Branwhite penalty.

Kieran Berry was sin-binned for the hosts and Irwin’s penalty extended the visitors’ lead.

On 61 minutes, David Hyde went over for Witney and Lamb added the extras to make it 18-15.

Irwin and Lamb exchanged penalties, before the hosts sealed victory with five minutes to go as Bennett dotted down and Lamb converted.

Bennett was yellow-carded, but Witney were in control.
