OXFORD Under 15s are celebrating after winning the Oxfordshire Cup for a third year in a row with a 19-0 victory over Witney at North Hinksey.

Despite the strong wind and being pinned on their own line, Oxford led 5-0 at half-time, thanks to a try from Dan Kelly.

Tries from Ben Morris and Will James, converted by Charlie Atkinson, secured victory in the second half.

Oxford chairman Andy Lloyd said: “At a time when we have been restructuring our senior sides, who are now coming on leaps and bounds, it is great to see our under 15 lads winning the county cup for the third year in a row.

“Some of these boys have been with us since they were five year olds and we look forward to them performing at the highest level in the future too.”

Chinnor won the Plate, beating Wallingford 40-12.

Oxford Harlequins clinched the Under 14 Cup with a 17-10 victory over hosts Chinnor.

Quins fought back from 10-0 down, scoring three tries, one converted, in the second half.

Wallingford won the Plate at the same venue when beating Bicester 15-10.

Angus Nelson scored two tries, with Tom Bodle crossing once.
